Millimetre Design very recently completed the re-design of the lobby, bar & restaurant in Harbour Hotel, Galway. The hotel lobby sets the tone for the guest’s stay so first impressions of this space count. The lobby’s interior design is a mixture of soft colours & furnishings, contemporary finishes along with various display items, bringing a slight nautical theme throughout. The combination of these items allows the guest to feel welcome in a fashionable space close to the harbour. Not only has the look & feel of the lobby been completely transformed, but the way in which the space is now used has improved. A central lounge area, desks with laptop points and a long feature table caters not only for hotel guests but also local business meetings, presentations and work spaces.
The bar & restaurant was re-launched as Dillisk on the Docks. Again, as the name suggests, this space has a nod to the nautical as the work Dillisk is the name of a type of seaweed. Along with Dillisk, lighting pendants, weathered timber finishes and fun nautical artwork subtly bring the maritime theme alive. To balance the nautical touches contemporary design features were used which included feature wall designs & materials, sleek bar & wine display design long with a fun party feature table with neon lights. All the interior design features combined make this new bar & restaurant a trendy & stylish yet relaxing place to be
